Comments from the owner of one of Tino's daughters! (used with permission - thanks Lori!)

Hello,

I came across your website while searching for info on the father of my German Shepherd.  Your new addition, Tino, is the father of my 2 1/2 year old female, Xanna. My breeder (San Diego Area) put Tino up for sale a while ago and I seriously considered purchasing him. He is a wonderful dog.

Xanna is not a working dog but is a beloved family pet. I thought you might enjoy hearing a bit about her as your facility is about to have a litter of his (Tino's) puppies. Get ready! The most remarkable thing about Xanna is that she is filled with an amazing "joy of life". She exudes happiness and confidence and is absolutely  fearless. We have yet to find any situation or environment that would spook her or even shake her confidence. And we have tried! She is extremely alert in all situations and very aware of her surroundings. She is very high drive...borderline obsessive when it comes to her ball. I have yet to find a place I can hide it where she can't find it. I once hid the ball in a closed car under a mat and she sat at the driver's side door and whined and barked at the car and me until I opened it and gave her back the ball.

Xanna is a family pet. She has no extensive training beyond my meager attempts. But even I have been able to teach her silent commands. She is extremely intelligent and eager to please. I am sure your facility will benefit from Tino's contributions.  My dog would have probably been better suited as a working dog, not for our family's sake but hers. One simply has to look at her face to see the undercurrent of "Okay lady, What's Next!"

I wish you the best of luck with Tino.

 With Regards,

Lori Sims
